About

The 2016 edition of the SEBD Symposium will be organized by Università del Salento (Dipartimento Ingegneria dell’Informazione, www.dii.unisalento.it) and will take place in Ugento (Lecce), Italy, at Robinson Club Apulia (www.robinson-italia.it) from the 19th to the 22nd of June 2016.
This is the 24th edition of the symposium, which is the major annual event of the Italian database research community.
The symposium is thought as a gathering forum to meet, discuss and exchange experiences among all those, both in the academy and industry, who are interested in database systems and in all their broad range of applications.

Submissions







Submissions

There are two submission formats:

  • Regular papers (up to 12 pg): original research works in the above areas;
  • Discussion papers (up to 8 pg): results and ideas of interest to the SEBD audience, including extended abstract of recent own publications, position papers, system and application descriptions and presentations of preliminary results.

Papers must be written in English. Selection will be based on originality, clarity, and technical quality. SEBD 2016 submissions must be in electronic form in PDF format.
Papers must be formatted in LaTex using the LNCS style available here, and must be submitted via the EasyChair submission system, available here.
All accepted works will be included in the proceedings. After acceptance, authors are required to re-submit the final PDF. No different format is allowed.
All accepted papers are expected to be presented at the conference and at least one author is required to register to the conference.

Brindisi Airport

  • Brindisi airport is the nearest airport to Ugento (120 Km)
  • Daily flights connect Brindisi to the international airports of Rome (by Alitalia) and Milan (by Alitalia and EasyJet).
  • Brindisi is also connected to the international airports of London Stansted, Brussels and other important cities (by Ryanair), Cologne, Munich, Stuttgart (by Air Berlin), Geneva (by Easy Jet), Zurich (by Helvetic).

Bari Airport

  • The alternative is Bari Palese Airport (200 Km)
  • In Bari it is possible to take metro, taxi or shuttle to reach the Central Railway Station and then Lecce by train in approximately 2 hours.
  • It is also possible to take a bus to reach the Brindisi airport, from where buses to Lecce are available.
